Even though it's still officially spring, the summer heat is well and truly upon us. Tonight was a Wild West themed disco at my daughter's school and who wants to dress up in long sleeved checked shirts and chaps on a hot night like this?
I knew the disco was coming so on my thrift shopping trips, out and about, I scored these cowboy hats for around $5 each and the kids just wore existing clothes. A single, short/skirt, bandana and $1.50 cheap plastic cowboy gun, belt etc.
The poor little buggers were so hot and then when Mum got dragged up to do a rendition of the Chicken Dance (which the boy absolutely hated and went running off the dance floor), she got really hot and knew it was time to come home.
Needless to say, the kid's heads didn't even hit the pillow tonight and they were out like a light.
Gorgeous outfits! It is getting hot already isn't it? Hope it cools down overnight where you guys are.
