What a busy week I've had since last Thursday. It comes around so quickly. Mother's Day last Sunday, which was lovely and this week I entered myself into a cooking competition featuring herbs in a tube. There's things on at school plus I'm trying to get fit and going to the gym. No rest for the wicked. I'm so glad for the Thriving on Thursdays party because it gives me a bit of time out to look at crafts, projects and recipes. Bit like an online magazine. I look forward to reading it every week. Now here's the most hit, not food related links from last week's party.
Alicia from the Semi Rural Life shared these kid's binoculars. I can remember using toilet rolls for all sorts of things with the kids when they were young. This was a lovely reminder of that time Alicia. Thanks so much for sharing your idea.
The lovely Marissa from Rae Gun Ramblings shared an easy how-to for covered buttons. I know I've got the button covering kit somewhere because I've been wanting to make some to use for hair pins. So many uses. Thanks for the link up Marissa.
Pounds 4 Pennies shared an easy recipe for homemade finger paints. I wish I would've known this when the kids were a bit younger. The paints I bought would never come out of the kid's clothes. Thanks for sharing this.
And what about Peggy from PJH Designs shabby chic French kitchen makeover and the big reveal? I love it Peggy. What a job and what a wonderful transformation. Can you come and do mine now please? It's such a credit to you and I'm sure many of us will be able to pick up a lot of tips. Thanks for sharing this with us all.
If you haven't got a 'featured' button before, feel free to grab one. Now, let's see what you've been up to this week. I can't wait!

Thanks so much for hosting Anne!
