Thriving on Thursdays - Linky Party # 26

Domesblissity

Welcome to another Thriving on Thursday. Gee, it seems like only yesterday I could barely swallow from the sore throat I had with a nasty cough to follow. The cough is still lingering but I am able to function at about 90% capacity and that's good considering it's still school holidays. They go back to school next Monday and even though it hasn't been too bad with them here at home, I'll be looking forward to getting back to my routine (and those 5 hours of peace during the day). Let's have a look at the not food related, most hit links from last week's party. Just fantastic link ups last week.

Sonja from Practical Stewardship shared with us three practical money saving tips. We hear it over and over again but sometimes, hearing just 3 little tips allows us to take baby steps towards getting our finances back on track. Thanks so much Sonja for linking up this week. It was lovely to have you.

Sometimes people can just look at a piece of furniture and promptly put it to good use. Athena from Life's Abundant Adventures found a nifty way to make good use of her husband's office desk hutch. How handy is this? I probably would've got rid of it, with the desk. How innovative! Thanks Athena for linking up.

And for a complete turn around, how about this buffet hutch made from a plain old set of drawers by Parisian Bamboo? Just brilliant. I love it. The drawers served its purpose for her family and then stayed in the garage until now. It nearly looks so proud sitting there in all its glory. Well done! Thanks for stopping by to link up.

And if you've got a spare piece of timber or mdf lying about in the shed, how about making your own height chart by Alicia at The Semi-Rural Life. I love this way more than the store bought ones and you can personalise it to suit your decor. Thanks Alicia for linking up. A great idea!

Tonya from The Crafty Mummy shared one of her guest poster's 5 tips for brilliant birthday bash photos. Some really good tips Angela. Thanks Tonya for sharing. My kid's last birthday was a combined one and things just went from bad to worse at the beginning so I handed my camera to one of the guest's Mums while I got some games on the go and tried to wrangle the food. They turned out really well too.

Feel free to grab a 'featured' button to share on your blog. Thank you so much for all the regulars popping back here each week and the newbies who come along each week. I appreciate each and every single one of you. Now, onto this week's party. Let's see what you've all been working on. Oh, and I hope all my American friends had a fantastic 4th of July! I thought I would've joined in the celebrations with some American inspired dish but the kids managed cupcakes today so that's about as close as I'll get.

  4. My sisters and their families have all been sick for the school holidays too. I normally love winter Down Under but I must say this year has been the coldest I can remember! At least you have had a few days of feeling well.

Thanks so much for having me today and for allowing me to join in with your link up! I appreciate it!

    Best wishes and happy Thursday.

  11. Hi - I have linked in and was sure I chose the right picture but a funny one came up - are you able to fix it for me? I know the linky thing won't let me put it in again - It was a link to a post about corned beef hash cakes (and I also forgot to put in the name) Sorry I have made a mess of it!
